Speaking Engagements

I am available for speaking engagements and lectures. I strongly believe in the dissemination of psychological science and knowledge, and sharing it in jargon-free language.

I also give talks and presentations about my books, A People’s History of Psychoanalysis: From Freud to Liberation Psychology and Decolonizing Psychoanalytic Technique: Putting Freud on Fanon’s Couch.

I have delivered workshops and presentations on:

  • Psychotherapy, race, and social justice

  • Mindfulness and stress reduction

  • Race and cultural competency in organizations

  • Public policy and structural determinants of health

  • Psychologically-informed approaches to activism

  • Mental health and the arts

I have also provided consultation and needs assessments to social service and humanitarian aid organizations on these issues.
